This is an interesting article, and provocative title. I actually was anticipating reading more about the future of music as a viable art form. I would have liked to know more about that in conjunction with technology. It seems as soon as electricity was discovered, there have been technological advances in sound, so that is not really surprising.

Dave, thank you for the link to the list of places that provide free music. An emerging artist, garage band or media (formerly record) company could use the contacts on the list as a way to market and promote new music. While time consuming it seems a like it would be a lot more cost effective than pressing up 1,000 CDs and giving them away hoping that people listen to it.

Thanks Dave. The free music industry is where it’s at. I know there is a ton of controversy – but I love how it has evolved. Who would have thought all this was possible?
